Jeffrey Muhammad is the Department Chair for the A&E CAD department. He is also the Program Coordinator for the Civil CAD program; as well as an Academic Advisor and Professor. Jeffrey earned his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Architectural and Engineering CAD – Interdisciplinary Specialization from Austin Community College. Jeffrey has worked as a Civil CAD Designer and Consultant with several civil engineering firms in the Austin area, including: Wenzel Engineering, Loomis Austin, Bowman Consulting, LandDev Consulting (now LDC), Big Red Dog Engineering (now WGI) and others. Jeffrey is also the Founder of Yes We CAD Academy online.
Jeffrey has been teaching at ACC since 2004 and using CAD since 1990.

The program coordinator for the Electronic CAD program in the A&E CAD department is Doug Smith, who also serves as the academic advisor and as senior professor, as well as an Assistant Department Chair. Doug earned an associate of applied science degree in Drafting and Design from the Texas State Technical Institute, a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Education from Texas State University, and a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Texas. Doug has worked as a designer and technician with several firms in the Austin area, including: Austin Research Engineers, Widelite, and Tracor Aerospace (now BAE Systems).
Doug has been teaching at ACC since 1989.
