Our chapter, founded in 2002, is a member of the national ASEE organization. We are a nonprofit organization of individuals and institutions committed to furthering engineering education.

Our Mission

The Austin Community College ASEE Student Chapter is an organization of students and faculty committed to furthering education in Technical Design Graphics as well as all applied Architectural, Engineering, and Technical sciences. Our mission shall be accomplished by participating in activities that encourage and assist members in pursuing their educational goals, providing services to members to help them obtain careers in technical fields, and by promoting standards of universal acceptance and open access for the involvement of all peoples in the academic disciplines of engineering, technology, architecture and design graphics. It is also an important goal of our chapter to build a sense of connection among our members and the community at large by providing opportunities to participate in coordinated volunteer, outreach, and public service programs.

The ASEE group hosts speakers and recruiters from industry at the Northridge campus and CAD user group meetings. ASEE also sponsors public-service events for organizations such as Capital Area Food Bank and service learning events like Barkitecture Austin.
