Programs

The Architectural CAD curriculum trains students to pursue careers in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries utilizing current industry technology.
Mechanical drafters create the graphics used in the mechanical engineering field and are often employed by mechanical engineering firms.
Civil drafters create drawings for the civil engineering & surveying industry, including land development, transportation, public works, coastal engineering, and petroleum engineering.
Electronic CAD technicians and designers are responsible for creating the graphics used in the manufacture and installation of electronic equipment including Integrated Circuits, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), and MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) devices.

Our Mission

The mission of the Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design program is to provide technologically advanced workforce education and training leading to certificates and degrees in the fields of technical graphics and computer aided design (CAD) to students and organizations within the Austin Community College District. The program is committed to achieving student performance that meets or exceeds the entry-level requirements of the design, manufacturing, and construction industries of the ACC service area.
